My husband and I have taken the dinner cruise on the W.W. Durant twice and have been impressed with the sophistication of the food and the dedication of the staff to the needs of all passengers. On the fourth of July we were on the top deck and had cocktails and shrimp cocktail while listening to the captain explain the history of Raquette Lake and the Adirondacks in a soothing and interesting manner. We were then directed to the dining area on the lower deck and served an incredible meal. I chose prime rib with mashed potatoes smashed with horseradish, outstanding. John had duck and was equally pleased with the presentation as well as the quality. The Pohl family owns and operates this dinner cruise boat and works tirelessly to make certain that all patrons are enjoying their experience. I cannot recommend a better dining experience in the Adirondacks.

My parents shipped me off here when I was 8 years old so they could go 4-wheeling in Botswana and pork each other on the family couch all summer long, while I was swimming in a pool of dead minnows in upstate New York. These sadistic turd wranglers woke my ass up at 7 am every damn morning in my cabin with that Godforsaken trumpet -- DA DUP DADA DUP DA DUP DADA DUP DA DUP DADA DUP DUP DAAA DUP -- It still haunts me. The sound of childhood dreams dying.

One of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences of any past vacation, and something we had no prior knowledge about. The food was as good as any fine dining restaurant we could remember. How do they do that on a boat?

Beutiful elite camp. I would definitely send my kids here.

We had the most wonderful, gourmet-quality meal aboard the W.W. Durant all the while viewing the beautiful Raquette Lake and the amazing sunset. This is one tourist activity worth every penny. The service is spot on, totally professional. Don't miss this while in the western Adirondacks!
